Global Quantum encourages all trainees to become members of a Professional Body, usually the RICS and Inst.CES. To qualify as a member of the RICS you must first enrol as a Student member and then complete the APC [Assessment of Professional Competence]. This consists of 24 months of structured training, 96 hours of CPD [Continuing Professional Development] and a final assessment. Progress is closely monitored to ensure you are progressing successfully with the structured training. Global Quantum will give you a sufficient variety of work to assist in this and will help with problems when they arise.
For further information please go to the RICS website.
Part-time Postgraduate Courses
Dependent upon your career path a postgraduate course may be appropriate. MSc courses are available at several Universities throughout the UK. Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Glasgow Caledonian University, Ulster University and University of Salford in Manchester, being amongst the most popular.
If you have an appropriate non-quantity surveying degree this can be used to gain entry to an MSc Quantity Surveying course. Successful completion of this course will give you an RICS approved degree. You can then complete your APC in the ‘From University’ section above.
